To create and produce theatrical and demonstrative dance performances of artistic excellence that bridge cultures to showcase Saskatchewan First Nations song and dance traditions in a manner that educates and entertains diverse audiences.
Buffalo Boy productions is a First Nations dance company with a mixed repertory representative of Saskatchewan's Cree, Dene, Nakawe, Dakota, Nakota and Lakota song and dance traditions.
Buffalo Boy Productions was founded and is managed by Donnie “Buffalo Boy” Speidel an accomplished Lakota singer, dancer, and choreographer who has performed extensively in North America and Internationally including performances for Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, Prime Minister Chretian, and Governor General Andrianne Clarkson. He performed in the Canada Day 125 celebration in Ottawa and the Juneo Beach Dedication in Normandy, France. Don was the artistic director/choreographer for the performances for Prince Charles’s and Governor General Adrianne Clarkson’s visit to Saskatoon and for the Juneo Beach Dedication. He has been a contributing choreographer for Dance Saskatchewan’s “Dare Dance” and in 2002 Dance Saskatchewan awarded him a lifetime achievement award for contributions to dance in Saskatchewan.
Buffalo Boy Productions employs the services of emerging and established singers and dancers from the Saskatoon area, from throughout Saskatchewan and from various points in North America based on its production requirements.
